About Us
Welcome to edtech.teacherpochadt.com — a dedicated platform designed to empower educators with practical, research-informed, and classroom-tested educational technology resources. We are not a generic edtech marketplace or a vendor-driven tool aggregator. Instead, we serve as a trusted, teacher-led hub where pedagogy meets purposeful technology — grounded in real teaching experience, equity-centered design, and sustainable implementation.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help K–12 educators meaningfully integrate technology into their teaching — without overwhelm, without commercial bias, and without sacrificing instructional integrity. We believe that the most effective edtech is not defined by novelty or flash, but by its ability to deepen student engagement, support diverse learners, strengthen formative assessment, and free up teacher time for what matters most: human connection and responsive instruction.
Who We Are
Founded by experienced classroom teachers and instructional technology coaches, edtech.teacherpochadt.com emerged from years of observing both the promise and pitfalls of digital tools in schools. Our team includes certified educators with advanced degrees in curriculum design, special education, and educational technology — all of whom continue to teach, mentor, or lead professional development in public and charter schools across the United States.
We do not sell software, collect student data, or accept paid promotions. Every resource, guide, and recommendation on our site is vetted through three lenses: pedagogical soundness, accessibility and inclusivity, and real-world feasibility for teachers with limited planning time and variable tech infrastructure.
What We Offer
- Tool Deep Dives: Honest, step-by-step evaluations of popular and emerging edtech tools — including privacy reviews, integration tips, and student-facing activity templates. Explore our full library at https://edtech.teacherpochadt.com/tools.
- Implementation Playbooks: Downloadable, adaptable guides for launching tech-enhanced units — from LMS onboarding to AI-assisted feedback workflows — aligned with ISTE Standards and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
- Teacher Spotlights: Authentic case studies and video interviews with educators who’ve successfully embedded tools like Flip, Desmos, Wakelet, and open-source alternatives — with lessons learned, time investments, and student impact data.
- Free Professional Learning: Monthly webinars, asynchronous micro-courses, and a growing archive of practical resources — all designed by and for practicing teachers.
Our Commitment to Equity & Ethics
We prioritize tools and practices that reduce barriers — not reinforce them. Every review includes explicit analysis of: cost (including hidden fees), device and bandwidth requirements, multilingual and neurodiverse accessibility features, FERPA/COPPA compliance, and data ownership policies. We openly disclose limitations and alternatives — especially free, open-source, or district-hosted options — because equitable access starts with transparent information.
